How did Yoda die in Star Wars?

1 Answer

  1. Yoda is an iconic character from the Star Wars Universe. He was first introduced to viewers in 1980 through the film The Empire Strikes Back. He is most famous for his wise ways and the distinct speaking pattern that can very easily be associated to him by anyone. Belonging to an unknown species, Yoda is a small, green, humanoid alien with white hair. He is about 2 feet tall ( 64 centimeters) and is powerful with The Force.

He was known as a legendary Jedi Master and eventually served as the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. He trained a great number of Jedi knights including Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke, and Anakin Skywalker.
When Anakin was introduced to the Jedi High Council by Qui—Gon Jinn as the Chosen one Yoda held his doubts. Yet after Jinn’s death, Anakin has trained as a Jedi Knight anyway even though Yoda still did not agree as he recognized the darkness within him. At the same time, The Sith emerged once more.

Almost a decade later, with a threat of a civil war looming over them and the objective to protect the republic, the Jedi formed the Grand Army of the Republic with Yoda leading an army of clone troopers. He had hoped to end the conflict as soon as possible but the Darth Sidious had plans to restore power to The Sith. As he crossed paths with the Dark Lord Darth Sidious, Yoda was unable to take back control from the self-claimed Galactic Emperor. He then went into exile and resided on Dagobah for years until Luke sought him out. He began training Luke as a Jedi Knight. Having already been nine hundred years of age, a year later the Jedi Master’s health began to decline and he died of old age in 4 ABY.
